Bobby Petrino is a renowned American football coach. He is the offensive coordinator for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Before that, he worked as head coach for the Missouri State Bears. and served as the head coach of the Louisville Cardinals football team from 2014 until being fired during the 2018 season. He spent a year as quarterbacks coach at the University of Idaho in 1989 under new head coach John L. Smith. He then became the offensive coordinator the next season.
He worked as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under Chris Ault at the University of Nevada in 1994. Petrino followed Smith as offensive coordinator at Louisville in 1998. He had his first stint in the NFL with the Jacksonville Jaguars from 1999 to 2001. In 2003, he returned to Louisville in 2003 as head coach, replacing John L. Smith. He held his position until 2006 and then from 2014 to 2018.
