Bob Harris is an American comedian, writer, radio commentator,  and former Jeopardy! champion. He was a stand-up comedian in his early days and he appeared in numerous comedy clubs. Bob has spoken at more than  200 colleges. As a writer, he has written for the TV shows Bones and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Bob appeared frequently on the TLC Network program Mostly True Stories: Urban Legends Revealed as a debunker of urban legends. After his return, he used the proceeds from his luxury assignments to fund thousands of small loans in developing nations, mostly through the microfinance organization Kiva.

Later, Bob spent much of the next several years traveling to meet clients in the field as well as see the results first-hand. In the wake of the publication, over  2400 readers and supporters have joined a Kiva lending team, Friends of Bob Harris. As of February 2022, they have made approximately 250,000 loans totaling more than $10.5 million to help fund small businesses in over 100 countries.
