Biz Stone (Real Name: Christopher Isaac “Biz” Stone) is a popular American entrepreneur who is the co-founder of Twitter, among other technology companies. He is also the Co-founder and CEO of Jelly Industries with Ben Finkel. He has published three books, Blogging: Genius Strategies for Instant Web Content (New Riders, 2002), Who Let The Blogs Out? (St Martins, 2004), and Things A Little Bird Told Me (Grand Central, 2014). Biz was also the Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of The Obvious Corporation from 2011 to 2013.
He was also the Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Medium.com. From 2013 to 2005, Biz was a Senior Specialist at Google Inc. where his duties included product development, community outreach, and product marketing management. He was the creative director at Xanga from 1999 until 2001. Besides Twitter, Biz is an angel investor and advisor in the startup community having backed companies in diverse industries like Square, Slack, Medium, Nest, Beyond Meat, Pinterest, Intercom, and Faraday. Biz is a board director at Beyond Meat, Medium, Polaroid Swing, Workpop, and Jelly Industries. He is the Chairman of Polaroid Swing.
