Becky Fischer is an American Pentecostal children’s pastor. She is best known for her role in the 2006 documentary Jesus Camp. Fischer is a fourth-generation Pentecostal on her mother’s side and a third-generation Pentecostal on her father’s side. Her grandfather served as an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God for 75 years.
Previously, Fischer was a businesswoman in her native Bismarck, North Dakota for 23 years. In those years, the last eight, she served as part-time children’s pastor of her church. In 1999, Fischer moved to North Wilkesboro, North Carolina to join Tasch Ministries International. It is a ministry that specializes in mission trips for children. She returned to North Dakota to start her own ministry, Kids in Ministry International.
This was after serving as a children’s pastor for Rick Joyner’s MorningStar Ministries in Wilkesboro. Additionally, Fischer is the author of several Sunday School curricula for churches. She also authored the book Redefining Children’s Ministry in the 21st Century. Fischer authored her own biographical review of her experiences during the filming of the movie Jesus Camp.
