Artie Lange ( Full name: Arthur Steven Lange Jr. ) is an American radio personality, stand-up comedian, and actor. He is best known for his tenures on the sketch comedy series titledMad TV from 1995 to 1997. From 2001 to 2009, Artie appeared on The Howard Stern Show. After his quadriplegic father died, the New Jersey native first worked as a longshoreman and later a taxi driver to help support his family.
Norm Macdonald chose Artie in 1997 to co-star in his comedy film titled Dirty Work (1998). This role secured Arte further acting roles including Macdonald’s sitcom The Norm Show. He returned to New Jersey in 2001 and joined The Howard Stern Show. Also, Artie pursued different projects during this time such as releasing two comedy albums, co-writing, producing, and starring in his feature film titled Artie Lange’s Beer League (2006).

What Happened To Artie Lange
Artie was arrested in August 1985, for attempted bank robbery by passing the teller a note that said he was armed and demanded $50,000. After the arrest, he claimed that he wanted to impress his girlfriend at the time. Artie frantically threw the note in a nearby trash can he saw that the teller took it seriously. He told the teller that it was all a joke. He was arrested after the teller triggered the silent alarm. His charge was reduced to disorderly conduct. It required him to pay $500 in court fees and also complete 25 hours of community service in March 1986.
