Andy Cerota is an American anchor and reporter. He currently serves as a KPRC2 anchor. Andy joined the station in June 2012. Prior to that, he worked at KTRK-TV as an anchor for almost ten years. At KPRC, Andy greets the Bayou City residents from the anchor’s desk at 11 am as well as 12 pm on weekdays.
Andy then spends the rest of the day in the field gathering news. Andys most remembered moment is when he managed to trek through the Volcanoes National Park found in Rwanda. He did that so that he could showcase Houston’s zoo to help in saving the endangered mountain gorilla.

The segment was named “The piece was on the Tolerance Sculpture. He co-produced the segment along with Allen Parkway. The segment was in honor of a local teen as the victim of a hate crime. Andy said that, although the young man survived the attack, he later took his own life.
