The newspaper syndicator Creators Syndicate started syndicating The Borowitz Report to dozens of major newspapers in 2005 including The Seattle Times, the Los Angeles Times, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The American television sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air was created by Andy and his ex-wife Susan Borowitz, based loosely on Benny Medina’s life. Originally, the sitcom aired on NBC from September 10, 1990, to May 20, 1996. It stars Will Smith as a fictionalized version of himself. He appears as a street-smart teenager born and raised in West Philadelphia.
