Amara Walker ( Full name: Amara Sohn-Walker ) is an American journalist and news anchor. Previously, she anchored CNN International’s CNN Today alongside her co-worker called Michael Holmes. Since 2019, Amara has been serving as a correspondent and fill-in anchor for CNN U.S.
Amara was among the election night team that covered the contentious 2020 Presidential election in the USA. She also covered the Georgia Senate runoff. Amara reported on President Trump’s attacks against the Georgia Secretary of State. Her reports focused on the investigations into Trump’s phone call that pressured the Secretary to find more votes after he lost the election to Joe Biden.
