Alex Van Halen ( Full Name: Alexander Arthur Van Halen) is a popular American musician who was the original drummer and a co-founder of the rock band Van Halen, which was created in 1972 by him and his younger brother Eddie under the name “Mammoth” before adding Michael Anthony and David Lee Roth in 1974 and changing their name to Van Halen.
Warner Bros. signed their band in 1977, and the band’s debut album was released a year later. Before their disbandment in 2020, following Eddie’s death, Alex released 12 studio albums, and the brothers were the only two constant members of the band. Alex’s interest in music developed early, and he and his brother received classical piano training as children.
While he initially harbored aspirations of becoming a guitarist, Alex later switched to being a drummer. His band was formed in 1974 with Alex, Eddie, Roth, and Michael Anthony.
