As of now, AJ works as a full-time analyst for the 2011 MLB postseason on the pregame and postgame show at Fox. AJ joined Fox again for the 2012, 2013, and 2015 postseasons. Fox reported in 2017 that AJ would be a full-time analyst.
He took part in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Minnesota Twins from 1998–2003), San Francisco Giants in 2004, Chicago White Sox from 2005–2012, Texas Rangers in 2013, Boston Red Sox in 2014, St. Louis Cardinals in 2014 and Atlanta Braves from 2015–2016. He became one of only ten catchers in Major League history to reach 2,000 hits during his career.
