Adam Driver is an American actor. He has received various accolades, including nominations for two Academy Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards, and a Tony Award. This has made Adam one of the few performers nominated for the Triple Crown of Acting.
He made his Broadway debut in Mrs. Warren’s Profession (2010) and subsequently appeared in Man and Boy (2011). He rose to prominence with a supporting role in the HBO comedy-drama series Girls (2012–2017), for which he received three consecutive Primetime Emmy nominations.

Shortly after the September 11 attacks, Adam enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was assigned to Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines as an 81mm mortar man. Adam served for two years and eight months before fracturing his sternum while mountain biking. He was medically discharged with the rank of Lance Corporal.

It is a problem play, offering social commentary to illustrate Shaw’s belief that the act of prostitution was not caused by moral failure but by economic necessity.
