Joe Queenan is an American satirist and critic. He has authored nine books and his memoir Closing Time was a 2009 New York Times Notable Book. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native has also written for such publications as The Guardian, Movieline, TV Guide, Spy Magazine, and The New York Times Book Review. Apart from that, he has appeared on Politically Incorrect more than a dozen times.
In addition, Joe writes regularly and hosts radio features for the BBC. He previously served as the host of the BBC’s Postcard from Gotham for three years. Joe won a Sports Emmy in 2005 for his work on HBO’s Inside the NFL. He wrote three short films for Channel 4 in Britain and appeared in them. Those films were: Mickey Rourke for a Day, My Fair Hugh and So You Wanna Be a Gangster.
