As a rapper, Stew performed at several nightclubs and bars around Minneapolis and Duluth such as 7th St. Entry at the landmark 1st Avenue.
Stew started moonlighting as a bounty hunter after meeting someone in the business. He auditioned for a film directed by the son of then-Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura called Tyrel Ventura in 2000. Stew wanted to impress Ventura with his Hollywood connections after landing one of the lead roles. So, Stew told a lie that his brother was a teen heartthrob who starred in a popular 1990s sitcom.
Tyrel invited him to stay at the governor’s residence in St. Paul during filming believing that he had flown in from Los Angeles. He launched his career in radio in 1998 by working as an intern for ClearChannel radio at 101.3 KDWB. Stew and L. Lin Wood became involved in a notable feud with Michael Flynn and Marjorie Taylor Greene in 2021 regarding Flynn’s endorsement of Vernon Jones and what is to be done with Kyle Rittenhouse’s bail fund. Stew was de-platformed from media services provider Spotify by the end of 2021 due to his opposition to Covid-19 vaccines and the government response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the USA.
He became involved in the legal case of Scott Quiner in January of 2022. Quiner’s wife claimed on the Stew Peters Show, that Mercy Hospital was refusing to give Scott proper treatment due to his refusal to take the Covid-19 Vaccine. Mercy Hospital failed to provide a reason for taking Scott off of a ventilator citing patient privacy. Stew encouraged his listeners to “blow the hospital’s phone lines up.” Also, he shared the hospital’s address and named the doctors involved. Stew received criticism after his audience started making anonymous threats.
Four days later, Scott was allowed to be transferred to a hospital in Texas that would provide the care that his family wanted. They described Scott as the “most malnourished patient” a doctor at the Texas hospital had ever seen. On January 19, 2022, Scott died. After his death, Stew promised that he and his audience would fight any hospital offering worse care to unvaccinated patients. At the 2022 America First Political Action Conference, Stew was a speaker. He called for Anthony Fauci to be lynched by hanging, and for Vernon Jones to be executed by electric chair.
Stew Peters Bounty Hunting
he currently heads a bounty hunting agency called Twin Cities Apprehension Team (T.C.A.T). The agency works primarily in the Twin Cities. However, it has tracked fugitives across state lines. The Agency has managed to apprehend fugitives wanted for DWI, drug possession/dealing, domestic abuse, as well as child sex trafficking. Minnesota Law was changed to limit what bounty hunters can wear and drive in 2015.
At the time, Stew was constantly being mistaken for government law enforcement. Also, there were rumors that Stew would star in a reality T.V. show on a cable network. Twin Cities Apprehension Team (T.C.A.T.) was involved in a fatal shootout on May 30, 2017, which left two agents and the fugitive dead. The agency had tracked Ramon Hutchinson from Hennepin County, Minnesota to Greenville, Texas. Hutchinson was wanted after missing a court date for cocaine possession, assaulting a police officer, and DUI arrest.
T.C.A.T. used a tracking device in Greenville during a trade-in on a car that belonged to Hutchinson’s girlfriend to find him at a car dealership. Cell phone video shows two T.C.A.T. agents Gabriel Bernal and Fidel Garcia Jr approaching Hutchinson. After they told Hutchinson the charges against him, Hutchinson pulled out a gun and opened fire. The three men died in the sport. When asked about the shootout Stew said that it was just a horrible loss and that Fidel Garcia was such a great friend.
