Tim Vine is an English comedian, actor, writer, and presenter. He is known for his one-liner jokes and his role on Not Going Out from 2006 to 2014. Vine has released a number of DVDs of his stand-up comedy and has written several joke books. In 2010 and 2014, he received the award for the best joke at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
His winning jokes were: “I’ve just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday and I’ll tell you what, never again”. Vine was the runner-up in 2011, 2012, and 2013. His stand-up act consists primarily of a series of quick-fire one-liners and puns, along with silly songs and a bagful of props.
