Frankie Boyle ( Full name: Francis Martin Patrick Boyle) is a Scottish comedian and writer. He is best known for his cynical, surreal, graphic, and often controversial sense of humor. He has been a stand-up comedian since 1995.
Frankie gained widespread recognition for the first time as a regular panelist on the comedy show titled Mock the Week. The show was launched in June 2005. Frankie was with the show from its onset until September 2009.

Currently, the show is hosted by Dara Ó Briain, In an episode of Live at the Apollo, Dara referred to Frankie as “the dark heart of Mock the Week.”
