He has since expanded his focus to other political as well as social issues. Previously, Tj had more than one million subscribers on his main channel. Currently, he has more than 445 million views in total. Tj was one of the hosts of a YouTube news podcast called Drunken Peasants from 2014 until 2017. PZ Myers, a Science blogger condemned these posts and went on to debate many of Tj’s past claims about feminism. PZ wrote that “this kind of thing has always been part of his YouTube schtick.”
Tj apologized to the Reddit user after the incident in a private message. He later made a public apology. In 2014, Tj addressed the issue further in a video entitled, “Rape, Feminism, and The Amazing Atheist.” In this video, he again apologized for the incident and explained the context in which it happened. Tj’s remarks were meant to be a satirical commentary on trigger warnings. He was a guest on a CNN panel in 2013 where he discussed the rise of atheism in America with Christian theologian William Lane Craig.
