Chris Moyles (Full Name: Christopher David Moyles) is a popular English radio and television presenter, and author. As of now, Moyles works as a presenter of The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X since September 2015. Before, Moyles presented The Chris Moyles Show on BBC Radio 1 from 2004 through 2012 and Chris Moyles’ Quiz Night from 2009 through 2012 on Channel 4. He has also served at various radio stations, such as Radio Luxembourg (under the pseudonym Chris Holmes) and Capital FM. Moyles moved to BBC Radio 1 in July 1997 and parted ways with the station in September 2012.
Moyles has presented the early breakfast show, a Saturday morning show, and the drive time show (from September 1998 through December 2003), prior to presenting the breakfast show from 5 January 2004 to 14 September 2012. In September 2009, Moyles was BBC Radio 1’s longest working breakfast presenter. He has become famous due to his maverick bad-boy broadcasting style on BBC Radio 1 and has been embroiled in many controversies, such as accusations of sexism and homophobia, because of the statements he has made on the air and in the press.
