Daniel Gruchy is a British English podcaster, show host, presenter, a former soldier of the British Army, Internet and YouTube personality. Currently, he is part of The Slow Mo Guys team along with  Gavin Free ( a 33-year-old English actor, director, cinematographer, and internet personality born on May 23, 1988, in Thame, England).

Despite sharing a soft spot for the slow-moving and being classmates, Daniel and his co-host Gavin Free never met each other until they became coworkers at a Waitrose supermarket in Thame, Oxfordshire.  After school, Gavin became a filmmaker, actor, cinematographer, voice actor, and internet personality at Rooster Teeth. Daniel started helping him film slow-motion videos and content for their YouTube channel.

The pair released their first video at the age of 22 on October 15, 2010. Daniel posts videos of everything and anything that may look cool in slow motion for more than 14 million subscribers.  He met Gavin Free while working at the same branch of Waitrose (an English supermarket chain). Daniel was working at the “Fresh Foods Section” while Gavin was working at the “Fruit and Vegetables Section”. Both had graduated from the same school in 2006.
