The commentary on the Anna Kendrick / Pharrell Williams episode centered on the dangers of drinking alcohol and the story of how Brooks’ friends put butter down his pants after he was blacked out drunk. Brooks worried that his friend was dying of an undiscovered sexually transmitted disease.
The comedian made an announcement on July 14, 2014, via Twitter stating that he was no longer a cast member of Saturday Night Live. Brooks wrote, “FIRED FROM NEW YORK IT’S SATURDAY NIGHT!”.
