Lynch later gave her details to Stefan Sylvestre who threw sulphuric acid at her face. Sylvestre and Lynch were later arrested and the attack was caught on CCTV.
Lynch received two years of the sentence and will serve 16 years while Sylvestre served a six-year life sentence and was released in 2018 following Sylvestre’s parole application. She was treated at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Plastic surgeon Mohammad Ali Jawad lead the team where she replaced her skin with a substitute, Matriderm. She was later in a coma for 12 days and wore a plastic face mask for 23 hours.
