Her columns on global issues made Trudy a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in a commentary in 2017 and the Overseas Press Club commentary prize.
In 2001, Trudy was a Pulitzer finalist for her columns on Israel and the Palestinians. Trudy was awarded the Edward Weintal prize in 2008 for her international reporting.
