Evan Maureen Ryan is an American public servant. Currently, she serves as White House Cabinet Secretary in the administration of Joe Biden. Ryan served as Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) from 2013 to 2017.
Ryan’s husband Tony Blinken was an advisor to Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign. He then became the National Security Advisor in the Biden Administration.

Evan Ryan Career
Ryan started working for First Lady Hillary Clinton in 1994 serving as a special assistant to the chief of staff. She was then promoted to Deputy Director of Scheduling in June 1997. In 2000, Ryan went on to work for Hillary Clinton’s Senate campaign.
Ryan was Biden’s Deputy Campaign Manager when he ran to be the Democratic nominee for president in 2007/2008. She joined President Obama’s administration after he was sworn in.
