The summer after his sophomore year, Jentezen started traveling with Tichie, doing music and Rich preached.
During that time, God called Jentezen to preach as well. At first, he was terrified because he was not used to speaking in front of people and he was shy too. The whole idea was intimidating and overwhelming him. However, Jentexen clearly heard God speak to his heart that he was to be a preacher.
God even confirmed his message through Jentexen’s mother, so he decided to lay everything down and follow God’s call in his life. His brother Rich gave him a chance to preach on his behalf at one of his revivals, and while Jentezen’a first sermon was only ten minutes long, Hod used it powerfully, and it set him down the path to where he is today.
