Kirstin O’Connor is an American anchor and reporter. She currently serves as a news anchor at Wkmg /News 6 ( a CBS affiliate) based in Orlando, Florida. Kirstin became part of the News 6-morning team in 2015 as their reporter and then became an anchor in 2016. Before working in Sunny Central Florida, she worked in other different places such as Oregon her home, California, Tennessee, Georgia, and New York.
Although she grew up in the spotlight in elementary school plays and dance recitals, her passion for storytelling came in high school where she was a self-proclaimed speech and debate “nerd.” Kirstine was also a Mock Trial, witness. After her internship with the NBC station, Kirstin spent another two years serving as a morning anchor and reporter in Medford, Oregon. While working there, she shot stories on the lines of massive wildfires.
She reported the teacher strike in 2014 and that report earned her and the team an Emmy Award. Additionally, in 2015, Kirstin anchored during the deadly shooting at Umpqua Community College (UCC). During her free time, Kirstin can still be found holding a camera since she loves photographing. Sometimes, she spends time at the beach or watching her favorite movie.
