During her time in college, Symone interned in the sports department at WSIL in Carterville, IL. Later on, Symone turned the opportunity into a job as an Associate Producer. She operated cameras, shot and edited videos, etc. Symone gained the tools she needed to truly grasp the workflow of a newsroom. Moreover, she shot and edited sports highlights each Friday and even turned a few news stories she reported for air. Symone admired several people on-air and couldn’t wait to step into her own position.
She got a job as an MMJ at WTVA in Tupelo, Mississippi in 2016. Later on, Symone became an Anchor/MMJ.
