Jasmine Murray (Full name: Jasmine Sharee Murray) is an American singer and beauty pageant titleholder from Starkville, Mississippi. When she was 16, she auditioned on the 8th season of American Idol and became the finalist where she placed 12th–13th alongside Jorge Núñez.
In 2007, Jasmine also competed in the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen pageant. On July 12, 2014, she was crowned Miss Mississippi 2014. Her time on the American Idol made her feel like she knew what she wanted to do with her life. Jasmine’s exposure on the show led to appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “Live with Regis and Kelly.”
