Jon Stewart (Full name: Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz )is a renowned American comedian, filmmaker, political commentator, actor, and television host. Previously, he hosted The Daily Show for 16 years, which was a satirical news program on Comedy Central. from 1999 to 2015.
Since leaving the journalism industry, Jon has maintained a low profile in entertainment industry circles but has used his celebrity and voice in sustained advocacy for 9/11 first responders,[2] and also for war veterans’ health benefits.
