Susan Zirinsky is an American television news producer and journalist who served as the President of CBS News for two years (2019-2021).
She was the first female President and Senior Executive Producer of CBS News and was later succeeded by Neeraj Khemlani and Wendy McMahon. Previously, from 1996 to 2019 she worked as an executive producer of 48 Hours a weekend documentary series.
During her career, she was awarded various awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Television & Film Awards in 2013 and the News & Documentary Emmy Award for her work on three 48 Hours specials among others. She graduated from the School of Communications at American University in Washington, D.C.
