Deloris Jordan is an American celebrity mother and best-selling author who has founded several charities and has worked as the Founder and President of the James R. Jordan Foundation for almost 20 years. Moreover, Delories founded the Kenya Women and Children’s Wellness Centre based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Moreover, she was recognized with the Clinton Global Initiative Award in 2005. Furthermore, Deloris continues to give back to her community via the programs she created. Additionally, she is best known as the mother to Michael Jordan, a renowned NBA player.

After a short period, James Raymond asked Deloris’s father for permission to take her on a date. The two later fell in love and dated for three years.
After Deloris graduated from high school, she relocated to Alabama where she attended a trade school while James Raymond moved to San Antonio, Texas, and attended the Air Force. He was later transferred to a base in Virginia in 1956, and Delorise moved with him. The two lovebirds later tied the knot and ushered in their first child, a son named James Ronald “Ronnie” Jr. in 1957. After welcoming their second child, a daughter named Deloris Jordan, James Raymond chose not to go back to the Air Force and began working in a textile mill instead.
In addition, the couple welcomed Larry Jordan, Roslyn Jordan, and their youngest child Michael Jordan. Michael was born on February 17, 1963. Moreover, Deloris is a proud grandmother. Sadly, her husband James Raymond was shot and killed in July 1993 in Robeson County, North Carolina, while sleeping in his car at a highway rest stop. 11 days after his death, James Raymond’s body was found in South Carolina dumped off a bridge.

As a result, Michael acknowledged his mother’s role in his success with the Dear Deloris Shoe in 2021.
