Tom Werner ( Full Name: Thomas Charles Werner) is a prominent American businessman and television producer. He is currently the chairman of both Liverpool Football Club and the Boston Red Sox through his investment in Fenway Sports Group.
In the year 1990, Tom initially became a part owner of the San Diego Padres. He was subsequently part of a group that bought the Boston Red Sox. Since February 27, 2002, Tom has served as chairman of the Red Sox. Additionally, the team has won four World Series since then, the 2004 title ending an 86-year championship drought—and qualified for the postseason 10 times. Also, the Red Sox won a franchise-record 108 games in 2018 and went on to win a ninth World Series title.
