Dave Clark is a popular American former longtime Amazon executive who resigned in 2023 as CEO of Flexport, the San Francisco-based logistics company he joined in 2022. In a surprise report posted on X on Wednesday, Dave said he had shared the news with Flexport teams internally. In a statement emailed to GeekWire, Flexport confirmed Dave’s departure and that Ryan Peterson will be returning as CEO.

The Wall Street Journal reported in September 2021 that Dave has hired political consultants and is considering a run for Texas governor, as per people familiar with the matter.
