Mickey Drexler ( Full Name: Millard “Mickey” S. Drexler ) is a popular American businessman and investor who works as the CEO of Alex Mill a clothing fashion brand created by his son Alex “Alexander” Drexler in 2013. Previously, Mickey worked as a chairman and chief executive of J. Crew from 2002 until 2019. Mickey also founded a retail chain Madewell during his work at J.Crew. From 1983 to 2002, Mickey worked as the CEO of Gap Inc.
While at Gap, Mickey created Old Navy. Mickey was abruptly fired by Gap founder Donald Fisher in 2002. Mickey was also a director on the board of Apple from 1999 until 2016. In 2013 Mickey joined the board of eyewear start-up Warby Parker and in 2017 became chairman of the board of Outdoor Voices, one of the brands Mickey has invested in with his namesake ventures arm.
