It dawned on him that his father was gay and wasn’t brave enough to deal with it to a point that he saw his own son as the uncomfortable mirror. His father died at 49 years old in 2003. Jason said that his dad was jealous and sad since his son was not afraid to hide his sexual orientation. With time he has learned to forgive his father.
