Louis Aguirre (Full Name: Louis Juan Aguirre) is an American journalist currently working as a news anchor at WPLG Local 10 News Miami since 2017. He also worked as a Co-anchor at The Insider. Previously, he served as the co-anchor of Deco Drive, a weeknight entertainment show on WSVN in Miami, FL.
He also served as a co-anchor of Fox and Friends on Fox News Channel. From 1995 to 1996, Louis served as a Correspondent on A Current Affair on 20th Television.

He started his TV career at Telemundo in 1989 serving as a Spanish language reporter. While there he earned his first Emmy Award nomination for a series chronicling the AIDS Crisis in America. Louis joined South Florida’s ABC station, WPLG in 1990 as a reporter later becoming a weekend anchor after scoring a coveted interview with Cuban president Fidel Castro.
He left South Florida for Hollywood in 1994, to become a correspondent for Extra which led to a spot as a lead correspondent for A Current Affair, and was later appointed as the first co-host for Fox News Channel’s morning newscast Fox and Friends. He voiced Cortez/Manny Chavez and the minor character, Adrian, in Funcom’s The Longest Journey adventure game, in 1999 and got released.
Later, Louis announced on Deco Drive with his co-host Lynn Martinez on August 22, 2014, that he will be leaving the show and heading to Los Angeles, California to further his career. Louis replaced Kevin Frazier as co-host of The Insider alongside Thea Andrews on September 9, 2014.
His assignment ended in September 2017 when the show was canceled after a 13-year run. Louise quickly relocated back to South Florida, returning to WPLG to anchor the 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. newscasts and work as a reporter for the 11 p.m. shows.
