Ralph Fiennes (Full Name: Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes) is a popular English actor, film producer, and director. A Shakespeare interpreter, Ralph excelled onstage at the Royal National Theatre prior to having further success at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Ralph has won various accolades such as a British Academy Film Award and a Tony Award, and nominations for two Academy Awards and an Emmy Award.
Ralph made his film debut playing Heathcliff in Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights (1992). Ralph’s portrayal of Nazi war criminal Amon Göth in the Steven Spielberg drama Schindler’s List (1993) gave him nominations for the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor, and he received the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. In addition, Ralph’s performance as Count Almásy in The English Patient (1996) garnered him a second Academy Award nomination, this time for Best Actor, and BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations.
