Ben Francis is a British businessman and entrepreneur. He currently serves as the founder and CEO of Gymshark. Ben launched Gymshark in his parent’s garage in 2012 at the age of 19 with school friend Lewis Morgan. Prior to launching Gymshark, Ben developed two fitness applications, iPhysique and Fat Loss Abs Guide, which were both listed in the iOS App Store charts.
He worked for Pizza Hut as a delivery boy between 2010 and 2013, while still a university student. Ben used to earn earning £5 an hour. He left Pizza Hut six months after launching Gymshark. Initially, the website sold fitness supplements. Ben was unable to afford to buy stock or secure distribution deals with supplement suppliers, he, therefore, started dropshipping supplies from other vendors and it took him six weeks to make his first sale.
