Barry McGuigan ( Real name: Finbar Patrick McGuigan MBE) is an Irish former professional boxer and current boxing promoter. The Clones, Ireland native has been nicknamed The Clones Cyclone. From 1985 to 1986, he held the WBA and lineal featherweight titles. Between 1983 and 1985, Barry held the British and European featherweight titles at the regional level.
He became BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 1985. Barry was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2005. He is the founder and the current president of, the Professional Boxing Association (PBA). Also, Barry founded Cyclone Promotions where he serves as the CEO.
