Wendy Schmidt (Full Name: Wendy Susan Schmidt) is a popular American businesswoman and philanthropist who is the president of the Schmidt Family Foundation, holding more than $1 billion in philanthropic assets. Following graduating in 1981 with a master’s degree in journalism, Wendy joined the marketing department of Sun Microsystems, where Eric Schmidt afterward worked as well. Bill Joy is a famous American computer engineer and venture capitalist. He is the co-founder of Sun Microsystems in 1982 along with Scott McNealy, Vinod Khosla, and Andy Bechtolsheim. He worked as the firm’s Chief Scientist and CTO at the company until 2003. In addition, Joy was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering in 1999.
