Additionally, her ribs, collarbone, and thumb were all broken after the accident. She was rushed to Brooks Army Medical Center Trauma Unit. Upon her arrival at the hospital, Ursula was inserted a chest tube that aided her breathing.
Additionally, Ursula had chest surgery for the setting of an entire row of ribs that had suffered compound fractures. There was also an addition of metal plates to aid in the healing of ribs. Ursula was hospitalized for ten days before she was released to go home for further recovery. She spent two months away from work.
