After he sold the Journal, Trey went back to WINK in 2007. However, he left the station in 2009 and went to join WFSX-FM. There, Trey hosted a live, 4-hour long morning radio show. The journalist returned to the station in September 2016 as a host of mornings. A year later,  Trey moved to afternoon drive time. Since then, he has been hosting this time slot.
