Trent Green is an American NFL analyst and former American football quarterback. As an NFL quarterback, he has played NFL games for 15 game seasons on various teams like San Diego Chargers, St. Louis Rams, Miami Dolphins, and Kansas City Chiefs. He was first drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL Draft. Trent currently serves as an NFL analyst for CBS sports along with Kevin Harlan. He is also a guest analyst for the NFL on Westwood One.

He receved his high school diploma from St. John Vianney High School in Kirkwood. Trent later enrolled at Indiana University, where he played college football for the Indiana University Hoosiers. He participated in Copper Bowl and dominated a highly regarded Baylor team 24-0. He matriculated with a bachelor’s degree in business and also threw for 5,400 yards with 23 touchdowns and 31 interceptions.

He was first drafted in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. Trent played for Washington Redskins after he was cut by the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League in 1994. In 1998 he became an unrestricted free agent after rejecting a 4-year, $12 million offer from the Redskins. Trent had a stint with the St. Louis Rams after signing a 4-year $17.5 million contract on February 15, 1999.

In 2001, Trent was traded to Kansas City Chiefs during the offseason in the 12th overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. Moreover, he played for the team untill 2007. He played against Cincinnati Bengals in Kansas City and suffered a severe concussion during the first game of the season on September 10, 2006. However, he was not traded during the 2007 NFL Draft but stated that Miami was his preference. Further, he played for the Miami Dolphins in 2007 before returning to St Louis Rams in 2008. In addition, he retired on June 12, 2009.

During his time with the Rams, he suffered a gruesome season-ending knee injury in a preseason game on a hit by Rodney Harrison of the Chargers. The injury took place on August 28, 1999.

After his retirement, he joined the Fox network as a color analyst for one season. Trent also was a studio analyst for the NFL Total Access show on the NFL Network. Currently serves as NFL analyst for CBS sports along with Kevin Harlan. He is also a guest analyst for the NFL on Westwood One.
