Tom Kerridge ( Full name; Thomas Kerridge ) is an English Michelin-starred chef. He has worked mainly in the United Kingdom. Initially, Tom appeared in several small television parts as a child actor. At the age of 18, he decided to attend culinary school. Tom has since worked at various British restaurants including the Michelin starred Rhodes in the Square and Adlards.

As a chef,  Tom has appeared on several TV shows including MasterChef, the Great British Menu, and Saturday Kitchen. Most recently, he fronted his own series titled How to Lose Weight For Good and another one titled  Top of the Shop, both for BBC. In 2016,  Tom presented Bake Off: Crème de la Crème for BBC Two. Since 2015, he has been presenting a show called Food and Drinks for BBC Two

He was born to his parents in Salisbury, England. Tom’s parents divorced when he was eleven years old. He grew up alongside his younger brother. Tom’s mother held down several jobs. She later moved to the now single-parent family around several housing estates in Gloucester.

On his 40th birthday, Tom weighed 30 stone ( Approx 190.5 kg). However, he managed to lose 12 stone ( Approx76.2 kg) in five years. He achieved this transitional weight loss through a combination of swimming, cutting down on carbs, ditching alcohol, and using the type of diet that boosts individuals’ levels of the so-called ‘happy hormone’ so that it’s easier to stick to your diet. The diest is called the dopamine diet.
