Solomon Wilcots is an American former football-free safety in the NFL. Currently, he serves as a national television analyst and broadcaster. At the same time, Solomon is the head coach in Your Call Football.  He played six seasons in the league for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, and the Cincinnati Bengals. Solomon is a Rubidoux High School alumnus located in Riverside, California.

At the University of Colorado, Solomon played college football under coach Bill McCartney.As a freshman, Solomon was a medical redshirt when the Buffaloes went 1–10. The program enjoyed a turnaround during his time there as a defensive back with records of 7–5, 6–6, 7–4, 8–4, as well as three bowl appearances. He graduated from the University with a degree in English literature.

He launched his television career by working as a weekend sports anchor for NBC Cincinnati affiliate WLWT. Solomon served the channel from 1994 until 2003. While there, he spent three seasons from 1998 to 2000 serving as a sideline reporter for ESPN’s Sunday Night Football. His sideline reporting won him an Emmy Award in 2000.

In 2001,  Solomon became part of CBS. His role there was to serve as a color commentator for CBS football telecasts. He first paired with Ian Eagle and worked as a team from 2001 until 2008. From there, Solomon paired with Kevin Harlan and worked together from 20T09 until 2013. Later, he was joined by Spero Dedes and worked as a team from 2014 until 2016. He announced his departure from CBS in May 2017.

For several years,  Solomon was a television announcer for New Orleans Saints preseason games where he worked alongside Tim Brando. Currently, he serves as an analyst for Sky Sports in the UK and also as a guest analyst for Pro Football Focus TV. At the same time, Solomon serves as the co-host of “The Red Zone” on Sirius NFL Radio. He co-hosts the show along with Carl Banks, Gil Brandt, and  Marty Schottenheimer.

Apart from that, Solomon serves as an analyst on the NFL Network’s NFL Total Access show. He can be seen every week on “Playbook”, alongside a group of former NFL players including Mike Mayock, Sterling Sharpe, and Brian Baldinger. He was chosen in the eighth round (215th overall)  in the 1987 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.  Also, he played in 12 games during his rookie season of 1987 for the Bengals and recorded the first of his two career interceptions. In 1988, Solomon was a starter in all 16 games. In 1989, he played as a reserve defensive back in all 16 games. Solomon also played in all 16 games in 1990 including 10 as a starter. The following year, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings and played in all 16 games. During his final season in 1992, Solomon played in 16 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
