Smokie Norful is an American gospel singer and pianist. He is best known for his album titled I Need You Now released in 2002 and another one titled Nothing Without You released in 2014. The latter won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards in 2004. Ten years later, Smokie won his second Grammy at the 57th Annual Grammy awards in 2015 for his song titled “No Greater Love.”

Smokie holds two RIAA certified Gold-selling compact discs, two nominations for the BET award for gospel music, a Soul Train Award nomination, an NAACP Image Award nomination, three Gospel Music Excellence Awards, four Dove awards, and three Stellar awards. Additionally, Smokie got a Grammy nod in 2015 for best gospel song/performance for “No Greater Love.” As a writer, he has greatly contributed to five platinum-selling compilations and has also written for many major label gospel recordings.

Rev.Smokie served as a youth pastor, minister of music, and also as an associate minister of St. John AME church in Pine Bluff, under the leadership of his parents Rev. W.R. Norful Sr., and his wife Teresa Norful until relocating to Chicago. Apart from that, he has served as worship leader for the connectional youth department of the AME church internationally. He currently serves as a pastor of the Victory Cathedral Worship Center based in Bolingbrook, Ill. Smokie officially launched Victory Cathedral Worship Center in Bolingbrook, Ill On September 20, 2005. Since the launch of the church, he and the Victory family have experienced extraordinary and also unprecedented growth in the community.
