In November 2020, Shauna reported to the Salt Lake County Jail to serve 10 days there for driving under the influence earlier in the year. “I’m so sorry that I did this. I did seek treatment,” Shauna said in Salt Lake City’s 3rd District Court. The former journalist pleaded guilty to DUI, a class B misdemeanor. Shauna had admitted to the same charge in municipal court in July 2020. The Judge ordered her to serve five days in jail and time in home confinement. However, she appealed her sentence to the district court.
