Sara  Cox ( Full name; Sara Joanne Cyzer) is an English broadcaster. She has been hosting the BBC Radio 2’s drivetime show since January 2019. The show airs from 5 pm to 7 pm every weekday. Previously, Sara presented Radio 1 Breakfast on BBC Radio 1 from 3 April 2000 until 19 December 2003.  Apart from that, she presented a number of television shows for the BBC  such as  The Great Pottery Throw Down from 2015 to 2017, and Too Much TV in 2016.

She has also been presenting  Back in Time since 2018. In 1996, Sara won her first television show role presenting the early “Girl Power” show The Girlie Show on Channel 4. Later, she had stints on Channel 5 entertainment show Exclusive as well as Channel 4 music program called Born Sloppy.  Sara presented on the UK feed of MTV in 1997 hosting a late-night music show titled MTV Hot.

She won her first film role in 1998 in The Bitterest Pill. Sara became a presenter of The Big Breakfast in September 1998. She followed in the footsteps of her close friend Zoe Ball. Sara interviewed stars during her time on the program including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robbie Williams, and Sting. The journalist preferred to do interviews in her father’s caravan based in The Big Breakfast garden.
