Rikki Klieman is an American television personality and criminal defense lawyer from Chicago. She currently serves as a legal analyst for CBS News. Previously, Rikki worked in criminal defense in Boston and taught at Columbia Law School. In addition to her career, Rikki is also an author and actress.
After law school, Rikki became an assistant district attorney for the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office. She later joined the Boston, Massachusetts, law firm of Friedman & Atherton. After some time, the journalist launched her own private practice. Rikki was named one of the five best female attorneys in the United States in 1983 by Time magazine.
She defended the Christian Scientist parents in 1993 in the case of Commonwealth v. Twitchell. Their two-year-old son had died of an untreated bowel obstruction. Rikki was a member of the faculty of Columbia Law School from 1996 to 2003. Before that, she taught at the law school of her alma mater, Boston University.
