She has worked for many BBC outputs including Breakfast with Frost,  Newsbeat on BBC Radio 1, and BBC Radio Five Live. Rachel also worked for BBC Essex on their Breakfast program as a reporter. She became part of CBBC’s flagship news program, Newsround in December 2002. Rachel was part of the bulletin team and the main reporter alongside Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes, Thalia Pellegrini, and Adam Fleming.

As a result, Rachel left the channel for a time after the move to the New Broadcasting house. She reappeared on the BBC News Channel in 2015 presenting the business and presented regularly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
