Rachel Horne is a Northern Irish newsreader and journalist. From 2002 to 2006, she presented the BBC children’s news program called Newsround. Also, Rachel presented BBC News’ business bulletins on the BBC News Channel as well as travel news on weekday mornings on BBC Radio 2 from March to December 2018. She became part of  Virgin Radio UK  in January 2019 as a breakfast show newsreader.

She has worked for many BBC outputs including Breakfast with Frost,  Newsbeat on BBC Radio 1, and BBC Radio Five Live. Rachel also worked for BBC Essex on their Breakfast program as a reporter. She became part of CBBC’s flagship news program, Newsround in December 2002. Rachel was part of the bulletin team and the main reporter alongside Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes, Thalia Pellegrini, and Adam Fleming.

As a result, Rachel left the channel for a time after the move to the New Broadcasting House. She reappeared on the BBC News Channel in 2015 presenting the business and presented regularly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
