Pat Shingleton is an eminent American former weather broadcaster. He has served at WBRZ for a period of 41 years. Currently, Pat serves as a Community Service Ambassador for WBRZ. Prior to working at WBRZ, he began his journalism career working as a weathercaster at KQTV-TV based in St. Joseph, Missouri. Later, Pat relocated to Baton Rouge before transferring to WPXI-TV located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Furthermore, he is the President of Pat Shingleton Productions and is a mastermind behind We Play Baton Rouge, Hotline After Dark, and The Fifth Quarter shows. Pat has held membership in several professional organizations including The National Association of Television Program Executives, The American Meteorological Society, and The National Weather Association.
He most recently won first place in the Breaking Weather category in 2011 after being recognized by the Louisiana Associated Press for his weather presentations. Pat was also selected the best in the state in 1991, 1993, 1994, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2009. He was given a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters in 2006.
