Later on, Nikkie started searching YouTube for tutorials to recreate the look and was inspired to begin creating her own. Following uploading videos for around two years, Nikkie enrolled in makeup coursework at B Academy in Amsterdam. Nikkie then signed with Colourfool Agency in 2011 and started serving as a professional makeup artist.
Nikkie became the head makeup artist in the autumn of 2013 for the RTL 5 show I Can Make You a Supermodel along with Paul Fisher. She moved from Colourfool Agency at the beginning of 2014 to serve as a freelance hair and makeup artist.
